Is there anyway to fix a wet distributor cap on a Pontiac grandAM 95 without buying a new one?

Basically, I went though a big puddle well, It wasn't really a puddle, the streets were flooded last night, my 95 grandAM died in the flood, and I was told by many people my distributor cap was the reason; is there anyway to fix it without buying a new one? Just because I'm out of money right now, and I really need my car like today. haha, If there is a way please tell me how!
