I dreamed two different dreams of snakes. What could it mean?

In the fist dream I was in a place where there was white sand and puddles of clear water. When I turned around I saw my son in one of the puddles and a snake was about to attack him, I tried to hit it with something and it was coming towards my face an I woke up frightened. The second dream was that my mom had a snake in the house and told me it was a pet and that it was friendly but I just couldn't help but be frightened by it. It seemed to be playful with everyone else, but I had my doubts that it would turn on them and bite. I woke up after it came next to me on the couch and stuck its tongue out at me. Can someone please tell me what this could possibly mean?
